Comodo firewall - replaces Windows firewall, works great!
Coretemp - shows cpu temps, and enables tray setting to view temps in the bottom tray
Display fusion - use multiple monitors and set different wallpapers, apply taskbars to each one, etc.
EaseUS data recovery - this has saved my ass, multiple times when old drives had data corrupted.
Glary utilities - the only decent registry cleaner/defragger and tune up software that doesn't cause much harm.
Magic disk - When you have ISO files, but no the actual disk... installs a virtual disk so you can mount ISOs as if you had the disk
mIRC - IRC Client, nothing super special here. Does what it needs to do.
Notepad++ - for those coders/modders who want a more advanced program to edit files.

The GNU Compiler Collection(GCC) -- The only compiler I use for serious things
Perl -- When you don't want to write that trivial task in C
Vim -- The best editor for most things
KDevelop 4 -- A great IDE for C++
Qt Creator -- Combines interface design and code into one IDE
Ogre3D -- So far the best free software(in the GNU sense) graphics framework I've found
Konsole -- De facto on KDE
Mercurial -- Better than Git and like Subversion, what more could I ask for?
NetBeans -- when I have to do something in Java
Amarok -- A good audio player for the KDE desktop
LibreOffice -- Used exclusively for document editing
Kopete -- Chat program
KGpg -- Encryption of sensitive things
Firefox -- works pretty well on GNU/Linux
KPatience -- can't always be hard at work, now can we?
