Going shopping with my mom is always a hassle. She tells me to pick out something I like but when I do, she always says that its something for old women or its too ugly then she tries to pick out something that I don't like. Does this happen to anyone else?

I don't have that problem, but my family isn't very typical. I have a feeling though, you have a typical mom, she looking out for her baby, Sure it is a hassle, but I'm sure there's love involved. Good luck, I'm sure she'll start budging in the future.

It's just my mom I guess cause it's never a problem with my dad. I guess I shouldn't take it that seriously. Thanks.

Yeah I never shop with my mum anymore, I'm only with her one week a month anyway so it's not like we really have time. When I did used to though she picked out stupid girly stuff or stuff from zara etc that looked like a grandma would wear. My dad is better to shop with I guess but he still hates the clothes I wear and tells me to buy things with 'more colour'. I don't dress inappropriately at all, I just like black, skulls and ripped jeans. I don't see why they won't let me wear the shit I like.
Now though I get £50 a month on my card which is for clothes which I'm extremely happy with. I hate shopping and I rarely buy clothes so when I find something I like I can just buy it without having to worry about asking for money.

I love shopping with my mom. We are nearly identical people and have very similar tastes, if I like it, even if she doesn't, she'll let me get it. We can easily spending hours shopping, it's great bonding time too!

Well my mom just does her own thing, and she taught me well to look at prices, so she doesn't have to really pay attention to those. And usually if she does shop with me, she usually knows what I like to wear, so most of her choices are ones I like.

With my mom, trouble starts before we even get into the store. She's super anal about parking her car, and she's bad at it too. She'll drive past a bunch of empty parking spaces because there are cars next to them and she's worried about her car getting dinged. Then she'll complain there's no where to park and blame (yes, blame) me, as if I am the person single handedly responsible for there not being a space that she likes. Then she'll get mad and go back home.

Shopping with my mom is a breeze. I've always been easy when it came to clothes, and I have distinct style that I rarely change. Like now im in to plaid and jeans. I can trust my mom to even go out and bring me back clothes because her judgement is pretty good. The only thing I dont trust her with is my shoes. I'm VERY specific about my shoes, and she does not know anything about getting shoes for teen guys.

I always make sure that the clothes I choose out are in an affordable price range, but my mom and I have the opposite taste in style which makes it harder to shop with her. With my dad, He tells me to pick out something and if it's a good price and I like it, he'll buy it. I'm actually saving up money right now so I don't have to depend on them to buy me things.
