What is a Physical???

You're probably gonna laugh, but I'm British, and people on here always talk about 'Physical Exams' I take it they're american (correct me if i'm wrong)
But what actually are they???

A physical is a doctors appointment where the doctor checks your physical health in order to check that you are healthy and developing normally or ready to play sports. They involve heart rate, blood pressure, breathing checks, as well as reflex and certain movement tests. Also, in some physicals they will check your testicles to make sure they are not cancerous. It is this procedure which scares a lot of teens. There is no need to worry however. The doctors are professionals, whose job it is to keep you healthy, not to critique your pubic hair or embarrass someone if they get a boner.

for me it's a yearly exam by my doctor to determine my overall health.
