I am 17, and she is 14 (turns 15 this year, in about a month) I really like her, and she really likes me, and all in all the point is there has been some touching between us and the next stage is paused on my behalf, because it is considered bad for highschool guys to date mid schoolers, (she was held back and parents don't want her to date so it's hush hush), but the connection between us is out of this world. Should I take it to the next stage?
I'm a good guy, football, straight A's, and would never think of violating/going to far with out her permission.
One of the place we hang out most at is our church, we get some time alone there but nothing big happens.
We are both virgins.

If you and her want to take it to the "next stage", then do it.
I've always believed, that age is just a number, maturity is more important than age.
So yeah, if she's mature enough, to be in a relationship with you, then everything is fine. :)
Also, the age difference between you 2, is less than 3 years.
There are some people, who are happily married, and the age difference between them, is a decade or more.
Like I said, age is just a number.

If you enjoy her, to hell with what other people think and age has nothing at all with enjoying one and other. I think you need to work on getting the parents involved, if you are good kids, then it shouldn't be an issue. Enjoy.

Age shouldn't matter like it does in society. Im sure you didn't seek out this girl for her age. You think 17 and 14 is bad? Try 17 and 25. No one from the outside is going to accept or understand that. But you have to do what makes you happy, and just be careful. Dont get yourself in trouble

No, age isn't a massive deal unless you're both at different stages in life. However, is everyone forgetting that it's illegal to do anything sex related with a minor who's under the age of consent, or?

I think the age difference between you guys is fine. As long as it doesnt surpass 3 years. You might want to check your laws about age difference and sex though, here it is illegal to have sex with a minor who is 3 years (and some amount of months) younger than you.
I would say base it on personal preference, though. I didnt even start flirting with a mid-schooler until I made sure she was old enough to be in high school.

Age shouldn't matter although it really bothers me sometimes. I mean my boyfriend just turned 24 while I'm still 19. It makes me feel awkward sometimes to the point where I want to break up with him.
So if you don't feel awkward around her and your absolutely 100% comfortable with the age difference then what others think shouldn't matter.

Age is a number. It doesn't define who you are.
That said, you still gotta listen to her parents. If they don't like something then it's best to avoid it.
But if you feel the need or urge to continue progressing, by all means. It's encouraged. Just be careful.
