liking your best friend

Hey yall
for about the last two months now Ive had a crush on my best friend. His familly has taken a liking to me as a son. Anyway I tild him last week and he said it was awkward but now hes talking about getting laid from another guy.

He wanted to sweep it under the rug. me liking him. and now hes telling me this

If he is not interested he's not interested. I would not risk such a great friendship over this. I know you might like him but you have to accept rejection. I think it is obvious that he still wants to be friends because he was telling you about this new guy. It would be unfair to put him in a situation where he had to choose between him and you. I know it's hard but you'll have to accept it. My advice is continue being his friend don't make him choose between you two. Best of luck!

If he didn't seem interested, he's probably not. Therefore, let it go at that. If you can continue having a friendship with him without it being awkward, great. But bringing up how stuff he says bothers you because you fancy him will just make it more uncomfortable.

I agree with them. If he's uncomfortable, then sorry, but he's most likely uninterested. But, you'll still be friends. Sometimes a close friendship is better than a relationship. Ya' never know :P
