... Is corrupt.
Obvious from the new diet plan, known as "nutrition" but in actuality is just a stupid misinterpretation of fat by the media. Stupidity.

Hate. I know it could be worse, but it could also be a hell of a lot better. Too much power in my opinion.

Democracy? Idk I tend to think that many people enjoy slagging off the government. I know how hard the job and how unstable it is. Sure they make mistakes; dosen't everyone make mistakes in there job but I believe that the democrats have the countries best interests at heart

The government tends to almost "preach" about "equality" along with "freedom" when nothing of the sort has ever existed in this country; Minorities, Gays and everyone below upper middle class aren't treated the same as others. This is a country that caters to the rich and there's no changing it. This "democracy" we try to push and shove down everyone's throats is complete nonsense. I'm moving out of the U.S.

I'm really not liking it, at this point I'm supporting Anonymous.
they're starting to change our constitution and that is just wrong on so many levels.
Wasn't that put in place to be our very guidelines on how laws are to be made and such? Now they think they can just go and change it as if it were just a rough-draft for an essay.
What the government is doing with the laws and our freedom is complete idiocy.

I would've liked a President Jill Stein or Gary Johnson but other than that I really don't like the US government

There are way worse governments, but it could be better. I don't really have a strong opinion on it.

I think hate is a strong word. I mean I don't like this bullshit about gun control one bit. People need to fuckin drop it already. People also need to accept that this is and never was a free country. I mean with all this health and medicare and forced insurance, the United States is not a free country. Barack Obama doesn't seem to be doing enough. Is he doing something at least? Yes. My final answer is that They are doing their incredibly difficult job badly. The US government needs to step up their game. It's not absolutely horrible that I want to emigrate though.

What you read above is my own OPINION. neg rep me if you like; just know that I was voicing my opinion and I don't care much for what others think about it.

Although not all officials are like this, for the most part, they've been kept from doing what needs to be done. One side not doing something that needs to be resolved just because the other side backs it up. They've been set on a leash by fossil fuel companies, causing a devastating destruction of our planet's cherished natural resources and wonders. They're too afraid to speak out or act, in fear of retaliation from the public. I know somewhere, deep down, our officials are trying there best, but the corruption must stop. How we shall stop such a thing, and how it will later pan out, I'm unsure, but something must be done, unless we want to all end up killing each other by the end of this century.

You make it sound as if trying to edge people to make better choices in interest for their health is a bad thing.

You're right about it being difficult but don't most politicians technically have the best intentions for their country just different viewpoints and solutions

Just because it's difficult doesn't mean they get a pass. When you fuck up in government, you've essentially fucked the country up in some way. Even if it's something small. Again, difficulty should have no part in this conversation.

You know that, as far as first-world countries go, the US is way, way up there in terms of personal freedom, right?

You know that every country in the world caters to the rich to some degree, right?
I'm really not liking it, at this point I'm supporting Anonymous. That's stupid. Anonymous is a bunch of 15-year-old script kiddies who think of themselves as internet Batmen.

... Oh, wait.

It was. (http://student-of-life.newsvine.com/_news/2010/11/21/5502595-thomas-jefferson-supported-rewriting-the-constitution-every-19-years-equated-not-doing-so-to-being-enslaved-to-the-prior-generation-what-do-you-think-about-that)

I'm a fan of the government in a general sense. I mean, of course we focus on the mistakes and downfalls of the government, but they do complete the majority of their purposes:

Public Defense
Facilitate Commerce
General Welfare (I emphasize, general)
Domestic Tranquility - When's the last time we had a civil war?

Now, I am not saying I agree with the federal government on every point. Clearly they fall short on balancing the budget, fighting poverty, taking take of the environment, and certain aforementioned rights. But for me to say, let alone for anyone to say, that they hate the entire federal government is saying that there are an incredible amount of people doing a shit job when in reality you can only really hate those in power (say Congress, the Cabinet, and the Justices).

We should never be completely happy with our government for if we were, we aren't progressing.

Not a whole lot to hate about it. I don't love it or support everything about it, but in general I support it. It's kind of a necessary evil.

What would you do if you where in power? The bottom line is that as said above we take alot for granted from the government. Yes they have many faults but the key thing is at least we in Britain and the US have a democratically elected government, we're free to criticise and bash them but thats one of our strongest ideas. I'm not a marxist or an anarchist, I believe that we have a workable solution.
