I'm so pissed off just now so this is a bit of a rant, I went out to the 24hr shop like 20 minutes ago to buy something and stupidly left my laptop open, when I came back in I find my dad sitting reading PM's from people on VT!? WTF do I do? If he has read any about my BF or depression I'm screwed! They already know I'm gay but know nothing else, they didnt even know about VT, he is now saying he's going to block the forum because it looks weird and that I'm banned from using it. I hate my family so much (I know that sounds sick but its true). They never help, never try and help all they do is fuck stuff up, they barely even know who I am I speak to the about once a week and they see fit to read through my messages WTF. Sorry for the rant it had to be done. Also if my dad is succesful blocking VT goodbye to you all, your all awesome people

There are ways around parental blocks (unless your dad is a computer genius or you have a Mac). The easiest way around it is to boot up in safe mode to use VT. It might be ugly doing so but hell, whatever gets the job done eh?

They are your parents and looking out for you. This may not help, sounds like you need to have a heart to heart with them and be open and honest them about VT and why you use it and like. Sounds like open and honest might be your only hope unless you can get around it. Good luck Nick.

Yes they are and they should be looking out for him. But they apparantly don't do it in a satisfying way:
They never help, never try and help all they do is fuck stuff up, they barely even know who I am I speak to the about once a week and they see fit to read through my messages WTF.
Sorry, I don't have an advice. But it's good you let off steam on VT not towards your parents - I hope. This might not do any good. It would only tense up your relationship with your parents.
Good luck!

If I were in your situation I would address them, flip out if you have to. Say that you need VT and address them that they haven't done anything to help you. VT is the place where you can talk to others about things you can't talk to them about. Speak the truth if you have to, no matter how ruthless it is. I really hope you don't go. I see you on the forums all the time and you give great advice. Like I said address them and tell them the truth. The truth will set you free (I honestly believe that). Best of luck! Really.

Tell them you need it. Show them how important VT is, more then they would ever understand.
Lucky for me, I have 3 different ways to get on VT...
