Ok so I started my new semester of college about 3 weeks ago and I started this science class on my very first day. I immediately liked this boy that I had never seen around before and luckily enough, we got put into the same lab group. So on that first day, our group decided to break into 2 so we could get the work done faster. Me and him had to measure the height of the ceiling so we went to the corner of the room and I held up a meter stick to the ceiling and he held another one under that. I was pinned against the wall and he was pressed up against me, chest to chest and we were within kissing distance. He smiled down at me and said "Nice to meet you" and we both laughed so I replied "Oh so this is what the professor meant by getting to know each other" and then he laughed and leaned his forehead down on my shoulder. All of my friends keep telling me that he has to be gay because a straight guy wouldn't normaly do that but I'm just not sure. I know he likes me at least as a friend because I was forced to leave the group and he came and dragged me back and said he needed me back with them since I'm his buddy. I don't know much about him yet because we've only known each other for 3 weeks so I can't tell for sure if he's gay or not but based on what I've told you all, can you please give me your opinions? Thank you!

It's almost impossible to tell over the forums and in life, I'd watch out for more subtle clues and see what happened, if you want to be clear on things when you're alone, I'd just casually ask. What's the worse that could happen? Just make it clear to him that you're only asking as a friend so that if he is you can support him.
Good luck :)

Well you seem to have everything in place for you if he is. Just do what gandalf said and you should be fine. or you could get his opinion on the LGBT Community and then if he says he supports them or that he is gay tell him that you are as well. All wishes of luck go to you buddy!!:)

I agree with both above me. Don't make a move yet because you don't want to act too soon and then regret it later. Just keep an eye out for similar moves he might make. You want to be sure he likes you but you don't want to take forever to respond because he might stop sending signals. Best of Luck!

Thank you all for the advice! I'm just going to wait and see I guess. I'm really hoping he's at least gay because if not, this will be the second straight guy in a row that I developed a crush for. Although to be fair, the crush started before I knew they were straight so it's not my fault
