Period a year later than pubic hair?

Is it true that most girls start their period about a year after they start to gro pubic hair? Is that accurate? thank god for a place to safely as curious questions!

Mine both came round about the same time. But it must vary from girl to girl.

I'm sure it's different fo every girl but i got my period a few months after i started growing pubic hair

I started with peach fuzz, and around 8 months later it started to turn darker, and about 4 months after that started my period.

It varies. Some girls get it right when they develop pubic hair, some actually BEFORE and some after. So yeah, it could happen then. There really is no normal time to start their period, just as long as it actually starts. If it doesn't there is a problem.
