I was circumcised at birth .My scar is very faint amost invisible. I thought when you are circumcised it leave a brown ring. Whats up with mine?

Everyone"s different man, all depends on how tight your skin is to begin with, how much that particular doctor is going to cut, and the skills of your doctor...some are just butchers...they all should be sued for malpractice for even performing the archaic practice.

not everyone gets one. there are many people that take them off and they all do it in a somewhat different fashion since they are human.

It's just like any other scar, all of your scars heal differently. Maybe it was a much cleaner cut, or your body was able to heal it better than others. I, like many other circumcised guys have a dark tan ring. It may not be as abnormal as you think, but try looking at a bunch of circumcision scars. But there's really no way to know, the scar just turned out differently.

it depends on severall things, how tight the skin, what natural color of the skin, where the doctor cuts, and what method the doctor uses, and how your body heals... So the scar is different for almost every one.

the only thing that matters is that it works fine :P

since u were cut at birth, i have to assume that they used some kind of clamp, more than likely the plastibell which leaves little scarring, the gomeco, and tara clamp do leave that brown scar b/c of the very nature of the clamp

about .25-.5 of an inch below the head of my penis (when erect) the colour of my shaft is slightly lighter then the rest. Where the two colours meet they blend so its not really that noticeable. Lucky i guess?

meh every guy is different and a lot depends on how good the person doing it is too, plus individual differences in skin color and stuff. i have a brown ring about 1/3 the way down the shaft from the head, and then the skin below the ring is a little darker than the skin above, but not as dark as the ring.

I think it depends on the method your doc used whether you get that ring or not. I just have a very narrow pink line where I was circumcised 7 months ago. Kind of wish I had that brown ring but i believe that come from doing the circ on a very small dick.

My is very faint too. I would rather say it is just a line and not a scar.

Mine is a darkish line around the shaft, about an inch from the head when hard. I actually like it, I think it adds character, and part of history.

I have lighter skin about an 2cm below the head when hard then there is a noticable scar then darker skin. I can also see some like stitch marks where the stitches were. I only had it done wen I was 11 so dont know if that makes it different then if when you have it done as a baby.

mine is compeltely the opposite, there was a mark after the operation, but now it has faded away, the color change is progressive, you must look at it closely to see it ^^

Yea mine's like that except I'm really high cut so the brown ring is nearly half way down. My parents had all us bruvs done like that specially cos it looks really cool. My skin between the ring and my cockhead is really pink but I've got really pale skin. and freckles.

I think it might have to do with skin pigmentation. Like how some white guys have pink nipples and others have brown nipples. My scar is pinkish but Ian's is a little bit browner maybe because he's part Native American.

I was circumcised quite recently and my scar line still hasn't settled in properly. There's a clear colour difference. The skin above and my head are pink while the remaining shaft skin is dark brown. Any idea when the scar line will settle? And what about the colour of my head? Will it change?
