This past Saturday night I went to take a drink of iced tea, but as soon as I started drinking the underside of my tongue started to sting. The stinging sensation got so bad that I went to go and look in the mirror. I noticed a red bump under the right side of my tongue, along with blood vessels that looked irritated. Within the next minute or two the right lymph node under my jaw swelled to about a golf ball sized lump.
The swelling was there for the rest of night, only going down after smoking a bowl. The next morning the same thing happened, I was unable to eat due to the stinging sensation that sure enough followed with my lymph node swelling. I called the doc and made an appointment, however after examining it he claimed "I'm not sure what it is,"
Now it's Tuesday night and the same sensation is starting up again. I have no idea what could be causing this, and it's starting to get inconvenient, as I'm unable to eat or drinking without smoking first. Any ideas of what could be causing this?
Ps: The swelling is irrelevant to my use of marijuana. If anything it helps for a period of time due to the anti-inflammatory properties of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, which is the main psychoactive of marijuana. So please don't base my symptoms off of the use of marijuana, thank you. :)
