So, i'm flying transatlantic to Orlando via. Philadelphia from the UK with US Airways. I've heard a lot of horror stories about US Airways, so I wondered if anyone had any reviews about flying with them. I have flown transatlantic before with Virgin Atlantic, but I understand that US Airways isnt as good. Cheers Guys!

I love US Airways. You shouldn't have a problem with them. The Philadelphia airport is great and everyone is friendly there.

You can hear horror stories about any airline. Truth is domestic airlines in the United States are nothing to brag about. I've flown them one time and it wasn't any different or special from any other airline I fly in the USA. Let us know how it goes for you.

The only problem I've had with them is delays in late day flights, otherwise they are one of my favorite. They also do the Flight of Honor flights, free, to WWII veterans to Washington DC. God Bless all those in the military that fight for my FREEDOM, Thank You.

I've only flown (the defunct) ATA and United, but from what i've heard, their customer support service is pretty bad.

I really do not know who got the short end of the stick there, they are both sub-par airlines.

Don't get me wrong, most domestic Airlines flying these days are sub-par and is a consensus that the worst airlines (from worst to not so) in America for 2012 where

United/Continental
American
US Airways
Southwest Airlines
Delta Airlines

Furthermore, internationally, the list was as follows for 2012:

Ryanair
Spirit Airlines
easyJet
Areoflot Russian Airlines
US Airways
China Southern Airlines
China Eastern Airlines
Air China
Egypt Air
Iberia

And now the winners for best international airlines of 2012 (shame non is an american one):

Qatar Airways
Asiana Airlines
Singapore Airlines
Cathay Pacific Airways
ANA All Nippon Airways
Etihad Airways
Turkish Airlines
Emirates
Thai Airways
Malaysia Airlines

I've flown with us plants of times and have had slight delays and one grounding, but that is it.....it is known to be bad, but in reality it's not
Also, being from Philadelphia, I ADORE the airport

I haven't heard any horror stories about them other than the morning of September 11th, 2001... And that was uncontrollable to the company.
