Who is your favorite death metal or on the heavier side of it band

Just as the title said who is your favorite or are your favorites I really like through the eyes of the dead but I want to broaden my knowledge of the genre itself

Five finger death punch or metallica

Bolt Thrower. Their 2nd album is what got me into death metal. None of their albums disappoint me, expect maybe their 7th album, but I still like it.

Other bands are Death (of course), Amon Amarth, Cannibal Corpse, Dark Tranquility, Dethklok, Ex Deo, Opeth (A bit more progressive, but I like to mention them anyway), Gojira, Nile, Sepultura, Swallow the Sun...there are more that I like, but I'll stop there for death metal.

As for black metal, my main favorites are Gorgoroth, Emperor and Enslaved, the last being my favorite.

Amon amarth I really like a friend showed me them awhile back and I've liked them since and Nile I also like but sometimes I'm in a more progressive metal sound mood I guess if you know what I'm saying also I don't know much about the sub sub genres of metal ha

Some other "heavier" bands I like, are: Five Finger Death Punch, Pantera, Korn, Drowning Pool, Saliva, Disturbed, Godsmack, Mudvayne, Slipknot, Stone Sour, System of a Down and Rage Against the Machine.
There are probably others, but I just can't think of them right now.
