Sitting next to you it holds your hand
it tells you it loves you
it wraps its arms around you
and caresses you into more.

Then it laughs at you
calling you foolish and dense
it tells you you are not good enough
not thin enough
not pretty enough
for it.

It bares its teeth
as you scream and yell
and fight and hit
through hell and back you travel.

Then its gone
leaving fire in its wake
hot burning needing fire.

You scream through the night
something lost to never be gained again.
