How do I know if the next step is to be done by me?

I have my first girlfriend now and she means a lot to me (even more :)). So I don’t want to take a risk to do anything wrong and disappoint her. So far I only replied things she started with. Like kissing, cuddling and everything. I don’t want to go too fast and I am fine as long as she is.
Doesn’t this get boring for the girl with time? Do girls want us boys to be more active or is it just fine the way it is?

To be honest it's different for every girl some like to lead the realation ship and others like to be lead and others are a mix. There should be no reason why you should not make some moves only if you are comfortable doing them but if your happy just to sit back then that's what you should do

Yea there is no perfect model to go by on this subject and the only advice i can give you is take your cues from her and most of the time you'll be able to sense if she's getting uncomftable or bored in the relationship. Some girls like it when guys are the agressors and some don't you just need to open the line of communications. If you can't talk to her about what you want to do than it's a pretty safe bet your not ready to move to a more intimate relationship.

Just this morning I found out that I should have sent clearer messages to her. Had I been more on the active side I could have avoided her desperate urge to please me.

No set rule, just be open and honest with her. Communication and happiness will make your relationship grow, whether it's started by you or her.
