I just saw a user that I don't recognize. His little picture icon thing that says like: new, 500, 2500, 10000, etc, said "unreg" the icon was all grey and the little guy had his eyes closed? my guess is that he's classified as not regular, but how does one get labeled that?

Unreg means "Unregistered". Either he is new and has not verified his email address yet, or he changed his email and has not registered the new one yet.

Perfect answer here. Likely, if they have posted and you've seen them on the forums, it is the second thing stated.
