I actually like bathrooms the way they are. Yes, it WOULD help the occasional transgendered person, but imagine how easily things can go wrong.

I honestly think it is a good idea and I would have no problem with it. I think that if everywhere did get bathrooms like this we should also have the separate bathrooms for people who may not be comfortable with this.

Just a thought ...

I see where you are coming from but rape can happen in any bathroom.

Gendered bathrooms don't stop people from fucking around. Gendered bathrooms don't stop rape.
This attitude perpetuates rape.

This attitude also massively marginalizes transgender and intersex people, who are a much larger minority than people give credit because they're forced to live stealth to avoid discrimination or even murder.

Normally a gender neutral bathroom is called a family bathroom and it's just a room with a toilet and a sink, with a lock on the door so nobody else can come in. They should have this option everywhere, not only for families but for transgendered people as well. I know that trans people who walk into either bathroom can get bullied for it and having a gender neutral bathroom would prevent all of that.

I did it, but I truly don't mind the bathrooms being separate. If I walk into a woman's bathroom there won't be so much of a guess that I'm a biological man by face than if I'm surrounded by other men

Well i am gay so i would not do anything pervy to girls but then, I know A LOT of straight guys who would do a lot of sick and creepy things and same for girls to guys so for those reasons i am against them, Also imagine the cues! Like i said, I would not care but for the purpose of the rest of the world, I think they should be kept separate ha ha.

I don't mind one-person bathrooms, but full bathrooms with multiple stalls I'd really appreciate them remaining separate. Don't get me wrong, I love you trans people, but I just would not be comfortable with the men. And not even for the reasons people have brought up before. I'm just really not comfortable around guys I don't know, full stop. Psychological issues and shit.

And yeah, Kieran has a great point. You don't want to be mixing bathrooms guys, because then you're going to have to wait on us girls. :P

I don't have a problem with trans people or anything, but I would feel really uncomfortable sharing a bathroom with a bunch of guys. Thinking of all the times I've stood around in the bathroom talking to friends or gone into a bathroom upset and crying, it would just be freaking weird to have a bunch of guys there. And it'd be awkward as hell asking for a tampon in a room full of guys. For them, and me. Plus, I've heard guys just pee on the floor if there's no stall or urinal. No thank you.
