I know that we already have a what classes are you taking thread, but I would like to know what AP classes you are taking, have taken, or are taking in the future.
I am currently taking AP US History and basically taking AP Chemistry (not planning on taking the test)
Next year, I will be taking AP Statistics and hopefully AP Physics.

Not exactly AP and I'm not taking it anymore, but before I switched school I was in Honors Physics. I was getting college credit for it. But my new school doesn't offer it, so I'm no longer taking it. I've taken various other gifted or honors classes, but since AP is only high school level, I'm not sure it counts.
I skipped Math 7 in 7th grade and took pre-algebra, so I SHOULD be in calculus, which would be considered AP, but I got a C in AP Algebra in 8th grade and had to retake it freshman year.
If my school had offered more AP classes, I probably would have taken AP chemistry last year. But they only offered AP English and Honors Physics and Bio 2. My current school only offers AP English, if that.

Only took one AP class in my entire high school life. After a couple weeks though I dropped it. It was too hard -- AP Spanish.

I'll be taking AP World History (known as WHAP) as a sophomore next year. It's the only AP class available to sophomores, and even if it wasn't I couldn't imagine taking more than one at that grade level.

Call me stupid or silly, but I'm against AP classes. They have no point other than overworking you until you're ripping your hair out. Therefore, I haven't, and will not, take any AP courses at high school.

You receive college credits for taking them and they look fantastic when applying to colleges. Looking back I wish I had taken more. You'll realize that when you start applying to schools :P

Oh, then either my school is lying to me or the UC system does it differently :P
Either way, I don't plan on going to a big university/famous/"good" college, so I'm not too worried about impressions. If I struggle in classes in the lowest lane, I'd be screwed in a AP course.

I'm in AP European History, and the class sucks so much, its so difficult, and the teacher has poor teaching skills, he's not a bad guy, but his teaching is just horrid.

Your school system shouldn't do it differently. AP is a nationwide way to obtain college credit while in high school. All the core classes that you take in high school (no matter at which level), you will also take in college. So, hell, it's better to just go ahead and get some of the credits while in high school so you won't have to take them in college. I plan on studying abroad in college, so taking AP classes would benefit me even more now.
Currently right now, I'm taking AP Human Geography and Government. Last year, as a Junior, I took AP Environment, U.S. History and English: Language.

Again, my grades are way too low to even enter a AP course. And since I really don't care about college credit, I won't be trying anytime soon to get into an AP course.

My school didn't have AP. Instead, we could dual enroll in the local community college. I took two humanities courses, philosophy, psychology, trigonometry, music history, American politics, English composition, etc.

Taken: AP Government, AP Econ
Taking: AP US History, AP Language, AP 2-D Studio Art
Going to take: AP European History, AP Lit, AP Psychology, AP Stats (maybe, or Discreet + Stats Honors)
Yeah, AP classes can be a bitch, but if you really push yourself, do the work, and try to learn and understand it, it's really not that bad. I am not a smart person and I do struggle, but as they say; hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.

so what should i take for senior year? I have not taken one AP class yet and when my friends told me about receiving college credit, I got really panicky, like it was the end of the world for me if I did not get competitive with these guys. Oh, by the way, what college did you attend? Does it really matter if I attend a less prestigious college and still get a job? I hear some people look for people who have gone to like UCLA or any of the prestigious colleges here.
