How to enter the chatroom:

1. Click the link to open the chatroom
2. Log on with your VT username and password

Can't you just click the icon on the forums index page at the bottom (below the shoutbox) where it says Members Currently Using Flashchat? (the icon is to the left, and I don't know if you all have it, but it's there with the skin Forever Blue)

Ok, every single time i use the chat room, it always has an offline user as active, in Tonight's case, it was Trigger...

This is inconvenient, and confusing.

It's because they directly close the chat room without logging out. You noow to press the red button in the top right corner of that flash chat, not the actual IE window.

The other night we had 13 people in there at one time. It just depends on the day and the hour with how many people are there.

Ur in one town dude theres members from all over North America, Europe, Australia, etc....

different time zones
different schedules

We tried that for a while. I set up a VT channel a long time ago, but FlashChat is on our server and better integrated with the forums.

Another good thing about flash chat is that you can see who's in the chat room on the bottom of the main page.

I like it the way it is now.. There's a good chance that if you go in the chatroom, and there are a sufficient amount of people logged on (if there are only 3 members logged on and you go in the chatroom, don't expect them both to follow you) then a few people will most likely decide to join you. Someone has to take a stand and decide to go in there, even if there is no one else in there, that way, other people will take notice that there is someone in there and join them.. So anyone who complains about there never being anyone in there.. Well maybe if you just decide to go in there, someone such as me will follow you to the chat! :P

I don't see why this should remain a sticky, as any questions about the chat room can simply be brought up as a normal post or an addition to this post. Either way, everything seems to be in order now and this sticky is a slight waste of space while being above everything else.

They will. But still, it all depends on the hour of day and if the person wants to. Not like it has to be used all the time

The chat also slows down my computer. Thats why I don't go in very often.

The chat doesn't seem to bother my computer (though it used to). I just don't usually feel like going in there unless someone interesting is in there (or if there are several people in there (5+) rather than just 2-3 people.

The problem with that is that if everyone thinks that way, no one will ever go in since there will never be anyone in there lol. I think it would help if more people just made a habit of going in there every time they log on, then there would be some serious traffic. Just a thought.

Yeah, I think the chat room was working [for some], the announcement was made after this thread wasn't it? Thus the chat room wasn't working prior to when Kiros disabled it anyway..
