So like if someone reported a thread or post but didn't sign it, they see who reported it?

Yeah, (I assume) the system sends a report to senior staff with the username, regardless. That's why OP's can request locks by saying "op lock" on the topic post.

Pat is correct. We can see the thread in question & the user who reported it.

It also shows up with your comment, so you don't actually need to sign it. Also, all staff members see the report not just senior staff.

This is correct too. We all see who reported it, and what they said in the comment, if anything. It is helpful if you say something in the comment, such as why you reported it - be it a bumped thread or a survey in p101 that needs to be moved or a double post, whatever it may be.
