Hi! I'm a 16-year-old boy, and I turn 17 this September. I'd kind of concerned about how tall I'm going to be by the time I'm done growing. So, my question is a simple yes-or-no one, and you can add details if you want. But please read a lil about my height before you answer! :) I know it's impossible to predict how tall one will be if they're not done growing yet, but all I really need is an estimate, or a yes or no. I'm a little worried about it. Not gonna say why, but I just am.
So, I'm currently 5'8" or tall, or 5'8.5" (all my doctors suck, so I never got an accurate measurement). I weigh 155 pounds. My shoe size is 11, but they seem a just a little tight. And my wingspan (or length from fingertip to fingertip with both arms extended out to my sides) is nearly 6'. My mom is 5'1, and all her relatives on her side only average about 5'5 - 5'10. My dad is 5'8, and all his relatives (the ones on his side) average from 5'9 - 6'5. But my dad stopped growing when he was my age, and has always been 5'8". And since I seem to follow my dad's growth pattern more than my mom's, his shoe size is 9 (mine is 11).
I think that's all you need to know! Along with the questions above, do you think I'll follow in my dad's growth pattern, or keep going?
I really want my height to be 5'9 - 6' when I'm done growing. Do you think I'll get there, or is it impossible to tell?
Thanks! Hope I wasn't boring. :)

I think you will grow maybe a little bit more. Shoe size has nothing to do with it just so you're aware. I am 5'7" and wear an 11. I don't think you'll ever reach 6' though.

Ohhhhhh! Thanks. I thought shoe size did. Because maybe youuuu will "grow into your feet" as I've heard. But thanks!
And I know I probably won't get to 6'.

I think you'll gorw more because your shoe size is bigger than your dad's, Shoe size doesnt matter to height when comparing to stangers, but it does matter when comparing to your relatives.

I would think you'd stop growing by 17. I'm 5'3" and I'm 13. My bro is almost 17 and he's been told he's stop growing at 5'7". My guess is you have stopped growing. Be glad you are 5'8" and not 5'3". Yikes!

One of my best friends is 16 and he is 5"5' he hasn't even hut puberty. He has no pubes and his penis hasn't grown yet. the reason I'm saying this, is because puberty is weird and varies from person to person. you may reach 6" you might not. you will just have to wait and see.

There is no way to actually judge without profession help... You can go to the doctors office and ask to get an xray of your "growth plate". Then they can examine that and tell you whether you are going to grow anymore and they can tell you how much you might grow... So if you can, just ask your parents if you can get one...

ok so you are 16 and 5ft 8 minimum and you want or would like say a growth
of 1 to 4 inches in height - I would say yes that possible even likely.
Your dad's growth pattern will be differant from yours but height is another matter although hieghts can be similar in families - but yeah at 16 with a few more years of growing time ahead yeah.

Based on your info, I would say that you may have a couple inches left, but honestly not much. You will probably end up around 5'10" or 5'11", 6' if you lucky, but unless you haven't had a giant growth spurt yet, you don't have too much longer to grow.

Wait, really? It matters when comparing to relatives? :3 That's kinda relieving, really.

Wow, I wish I could get that! My parents wouldn't let me if it was just to find out how tall I'm gonna be. Oh well. But it's cool that you can find out through an x-ray!

You mentioned that your wingspan is 6'. Generally, height is equal to wingspan, and being that you're feet are quite large for only 5'8", it seems as though you will grow more. Generally arms and legs grow a little ahead of the torso, so their proportions can be an indicator of what is to come.

That is true most of the time, yet it is not completely true... My friend is 5'7 and he has a super long wingspan and a long torso... his wingspan is 6'2. So I can see where you say "might" but it is not technically true... Look at basketball players and stuff, it is the same thing, their wingspan is a lot wider than how tall they actually are.
