I have quite a lot of pubic hair at the moment but all I do with it is trim it every so often. So I'm wondering whether I should try shaving my pubes for the first time. I'm just curious to find out if I'd prefer it or not. What are the advantages and disadvantages to shaving pubic hair? If I do do it how long will it take to grow back to a decent length? What would/do you guys do?

Thanks

I don't shave but here is what i have heard:
shaved pubes can be itchy, but so are pubes.
takes some time to grow if you got it in the last 2 years.

I just like to see how it naturally grows, when im out of puberty i will shave i think

if you want to see how it's like, there is no reason not to try it, i shave, and it kind of itches in the beggining, nut you get used to it. I would say that the biggest addvantadge of shaving is that it is more higyenic, it just feels... cleaner

When I first did it I went straight into shaving. I recommend that you trim for a while, this doesn't cause any itchiness or redness. If you want to go for the complete baldness look then I suggest shaving, however this can cause shaving rash, redness, ingrowing hairs. As for waxing I would stay well away from that for the time being, it can hurt and is rather extreme for a first time.

Soo...

Trim: Yes I suggest this. - It can be time consuming - has no problems.
Shave: Eventually after trimming - It can cause itchiness, redness and ingrowing hairs. - Does look better completely shaven tho and those problems go after a few sessions of shaving.
Wax: Avoid - There is no need for this - its hurts.

I say shave!!! I shave every once in a while... It feels great... There gets rid of the urge to itch... Until it starts growing back... Then it gets prickly, but if you keep shaving on a constant cycle, like every few days, then it will stay shaven and I don't think it will itch... Just remember to go slow and shave very little and wash the razor off. And when you are done you want to apply lotion to the area every few hours (if you are home). That way there is going to be less irritation. Tell me how it goes, and if you need an in-depth tutorial just contact me...

Try clippers to keep it short. Shaving can be dangerous.

Hey, when I was 13, a girl I was with had thick hair down below and had me shave it off for her, so it was clean for me. Then she shaved me, I did not have much at the time, though it felt odd. Though since then I have shaved around the base of my cock and balls, about once a month. Seems to keep it neat.

one way to keep the itching and bumps down is to use lotion AS SOON AS you get out of the shower/bath!
