I think a lot of people have tried to (including me) think that it's because they need to. But that's actually not the case at all. Most of the time, it's due to the erections you get during deep sleep that are just part of normal body functioning and have nothing to do with being aroused. We masturbate morning wood almost every morning in the shower. I don't remember either ones of us having any trouble with it or it taking longer.
