I don't see what going to a teacher would do. People are gonna talk no matter what a teacher says to them, and since you aren't really being bullied, I doubt they'd even take it seriously. It's high school, rumors get spread, and this isn't even a bad one. I wouldn't worry about it. People have probably forgotten about it for the most part any way, and if they haven't yet, they will be the end of the week.

Well, even though it was bullshit what your "friend" did, you shouldn't have spread a rumor about him, that probably did, and probably will, make things worse.

I think you should ignore these rumors. All you can do is deny them, and say they're not true. I don't think many people will believe you, but why care?
You don't really have any control, over whether or not, someone thinks badly of you.
Let them think what they want, fuck them.

So yeah, just ignore these bullshit rumors, and they'll go away.
