ok my dad is making buffalo wings for the game today and he always makes them way too spicy for me and my brothers and my friend. i mean too spicy to even eat. it's insane. other than rinsing them off in the sink (bleah) is there anyway of lowering the heat factor on them? can anything be added to them to make them less killer? we can't even enjoy them cuz after one bite we have to start chugging milk to put out the fire on our tongues. :furious:

Does he use sauce for the spiciness? Maybe you can tell him to use less sauce? If it's not sauce I have no idea how to lessen the spiciness :P You can always give them to me (lol) or drink lots and lots and lots of water/milk or not eat them at all. I don't know.

it's the sauce and it's too late to tell him not to use so much. he's nuts. he uses super hot sauce. the rest of us just glopped on tons of blue cheese dressing on the wings and did our best. and STILL burnt our taste buds. he should make 2 batches. one for him that is crazy hot and one for the rest of us that is normal but he won't do it.

Try mixing some coconut cream/sour cream/fresh cream with the sauce. It will definitely reduce the spiciness.

Tell him next time to make plain ones...otherwise, only milk will kill it. Ranch dressing will help a little. I need to meet your dad, I love spicy hot.

that may be why you get ranch or bleu cheese dressing with them to cut the heat

Next time ranch is a very good heat reducer as with anything creamy.

I will share my own recipe for chicken wings
INGREDIENTS
Chicken wings
Cornflour
Egg
Custard powder
Salt
Seasame oil
White pepper
Spring onions
Onion
Garlic
Chilli peppers
Chinese five spice powder
Cooking oil
Chinese rice wine
1) Put the chicken wings in a bowl and mix with the salt, white pepper, seasame oil and a little five spice. Use your hands but remember to wash them
2) Crack the eggs into them and mix then add cornflour then mix then add custard powder. It will come a little sticky but it turns out brilliant trust me.
3) Chop up the chilli, onion, spring onion and garlic.
4) Deep fry the wings until browned and cooked inside.
5) Heat some cooking oil into a wok and add the vegetables and let them sizzle gently.
6) Add the chicken wings and keep tossing them and turning them and then pour a generous glug of rice wine into them and keep tossing and turning until it soaks into the wings. Add a good amount of salt and five spice powder and keep tossing and turning. Add a little more rice wine.
7) Drain on kitchen paper and dip into sweet chilli or enjoy on their own.
