I would definately talk to her, show she can trust you. Then encourage her to think about:

why she self harms? What are the underlying factors? How can any contributing factors be addressed on a practical level? Who can she turn to for support (other than you)?

Show that your willing to listen, and don't judge her if she opens up. Try and remind her of the things she likes about life and how she can improve things.
