If America was invaded what would you do?

The reason i'm asking this is because there seems to be a lot of peeps here that thinks loyalty to the US is lame so i'd just like everyone to chime in and answer the following questions after reading the scenario and finding out what part of it you would be in. Thanks=)


What would you do if the following happened.

Ok heres the situation America has been invaded by a foriegn power oh say a reorganized militaristic and exspanionistic Russia for example,the following areas have been concquered by them:

a sizeable segment of Eastern New England,a portion of New York,southren Pennsylvania,Maryland,New Jersey,southren Ohio,southren Indiana,parts of Illinois,Kentuky, and Virginia where under their control.

What would you do?

Questions for those inside the Russian controlled area:

1) Would you join or form a resistance group to aid in the defeat of the Russians.

2)Aid the Russians

3)Just set back and say who cares?

For those outside of the Russian controled areas :

1) Would you join the military to fight

2)Aid the Russians by doing what ever it took to disrupt out troops?

Outside and 3. If Russia had the power to invade all of America it'd be a war with huge loses on both sides. I'd rather avoid that, if America and it's allies want to go to war have at it. Neutral opinion living in a neutral Country

But America would have to go to war if it wanted it's territory back,and i knwo of no nation thats invaded that wouldn't go to war.

Well I don't know why the Russians of all people would invade they have so much unused land in their own country. Look at the amount of area Russia controls. Plus the fact moving a huge army wouldn't be suspicious. Russia doesn't have a gigantic army to attack America and defend it's own country successively, in the end they'd lose both.

I understand where you are coming from but it's meant to be a hypothetical situation.

I couldn't think of anyone else to use as an example for it.

Yeah It's hard to think of a country that could and would try to invade America. But I felt like giving my opinion :P

So they'd try. OK let's say there's a small group of them, maybe 5-6, so let's saw I'm armed with nothing but my 30-30 and 44. That's 6+6 so that's 12 shots before reloading. I think I could kill the small group that came for my.guns with those.12 shots. Then after that is probably end up forming a.resistance with my neighbors and fight back. Pick up people as we move on hopefully winning with superior fire power. Also holding other people would form resistances to fight back.

Russians would have 7.62x39 mm ammo. I don't have an SKS or an AK-47 anymore so its no use to me. Also they would have a handgun that I can't verify at the moment in 9x18. The regular 9mm is 9x19 so that's no use to me either and I'm.pretty sure they ain't carrying 44 mag with them.

I wouldn't want to aid them, but nor do I want to join the military to fight. I would try to leave the country. Since my area has not been conquered -- western PA -- I would not worry so much (maybe). But if I can, I will try to leave (my whole family too). If we can't dot that, it's likely we won't do anything and we'll just see what happens...*shrugs*

EDIT: I would move to Canada. I'm an actual citizen there :P

Um the french resistance used not only french made weapons but the Nazi's on weapons against them!

Well. I'd sit back and hope I don't get dragged off with the Australian troops, seeing as if something like that were to happen, we'd be going along with New Zealand. Assuming they reinstate mandatory service, that is. If not, then I'll just sit back and hope to hell you can hold off the oppressing forces. Wouldn't they mostly conquer the west coast before east coasts? Russia is closer to Cali than Jersey. But I would just move to another country if it were severe enough.

Hmm... Good question.

More than likely, as I live in Nebraska, I'd be away from majority of the initial fighting, and as long as they did not begin to advance into the Midwest, I'd more than likely stay back on defense for a little bit, get everything organized, and then push into enemy areas, using gorilla tactics, taking out key targets, and etc. Now, no promises it would work, so then probably falling back to the Midwest would be our best bet.

Hate to break it to you but anyone 18 or over will be drafted, especially now that females can fight on the front lines.

Everyone will be trying to leave the country, so it will be a nice change for the us/mexican boarder.

They also wont think twice about executing trouble making civilians. God knows the US army doesn't.
