Yes, it does say something about the disapproval of jacking off. In church class, we learned that masturbation is a sin against chastity. Pleasure is 1 of the 3 reasons God created sex, and not using all three is a sin against social chasity
1. create new life
2. loving forever union
3. pleasing feeling
They also say that pornography is is an offense against the 6th and 9th commandments. It exploits and abuses the gift of sexuality.
I have to admit, I usually sin 5 days a week at 12 at night looking at or with other sinners. How can this be a sin if we cant control certain dreams and wake up with a pool of cum next to us?
Looks like, we are all going to hell. The sad thing is that we usually express #2 loving forever union and most oftenly #3 pleasing feeling. Because if feels sooooooo goood!!!!!
This was not needed at all and not really appropriate.-Jordan
I'm so going to hell!!
It cant be un-Christian to freeball. Whats so bad about making my ball comfortable. Thats not stoping me from freeballing.

Masturbation is seen as immoral because it goes against the purpose of the sexual organs according to Natural law. Actually, any sexual act except sex between a married man and woman (without a condom) is seen as immoral, because according to the Church, the only purpose of sex is procreation, so any act that isnt procreative is unnecessary and immoral. Quite strict, but logical.
Oh and btw, no one follows that very well.

well, during my camp before my confirmation, we had a boys only and girls only talks. about this. the guys instructor told us that if it is followed word for word(as most catholics) it is a sin, but if you follow it like we do(evangelic lutherian), do it if you want, only go to church ever now and then to get cleaned of your sins.

Now one thing's for sure, MASTURBATION IS NOT A SIN! Looking at pornography is a sin! I believe some actually mistook masturbation to be immoral but that really isn't seem to be the case.
P.S: I am a Christian...
Technically, if sex is not a sin, then masturbation should not be a sin too. I still do not see why it is a sin, I only understand why pornography is a sin. I am not sure about mutual masturbation and blowjobs but my advice is don't do blowjobs, I'm not sure about mutual masturbation but it is probably not a sin.

There is NO verse about masturbation. The bible is totally silent about it. The bible never mentions it. Have a read of "Wanking: The Last Taboo" by David McKay.
What sort of God would put these powerful, exciting new feelings into your body, then turn around & say you're not allowed to enjoy them? Look, just don't think of using somebody as merely a sex object. That's all they mean by "lust". The need to relieve yourself is NOT lust.

Ok, I'm sorry but the previous answers...here's what is true if you follow the Bible.
Yes, it would be considered sinful because for the most part it is lustful. About desires of other people etc. However, it does not count as actually having sex. Now, if you feel like it is stopping you from growing with God, then sure try and stop. But the main point is - if you do it, you dont go to hell for it. On the basis that Jesus has conquered sin and death, then that is not held against you at all. That said, you dont just abuse Him either because you are forgiven (nor just go to church to be cleansed if there is a bad heart attitude) because its about a relationship with Him as well.
