View Full Version : Sick from a Lack of Stress?

I've spent the last few months under a lot of stress. Besides having normal school work I've also had high school applications to fill out, things involving my church (gotta keep up the act) along with other things. Recently though, I turned in my scholarship applications, my communion interview (with a pastor) went well, I haven't had to write an English paper for a week, and although I have a test tomorrow, I find homework more stressful than tests. At this moment in time I feel like every burden I usually have is gone. At the same time though I think the lack of stress has actually caused me to feel shitty. Basically I don't feel like I'm 100% there. I'm not lucid or alert. I feel like a thin cloth has been put over my eyes and it feels like a slight pressure (not painful or headache) is being applied to the sides of my head. I've been taking a lot of deep breathes also. I would describe it as tired, but I have no desire to sleep. We do jeopardy in my class to review for the test. I typically jump up right away and score most of the points for my team. Not today though, I had trouble pulling answers out of my noggin.

Just gonna throw this out there, one of the hormones involved in stress is nonrepinephrine. A lack of it can cause loss of alertness, depression (this doesn't really apply to me), and loss of memory.

Thoughts?

Off topic, but I figure I should mention that it is for a private school.
