So this is a really silly/stupid question but why is it that guys in puberty have really dark nipples? I am not in puberty and mine are like really light... so ya... Whats up with that?

On the other hand... whats the point in guys having nipples anyhow???

Mine are pretty light too, but I'm going through puberty? I think it's actually just that some peoples' skin is naturally more tan or dark, so it would only follow suit that their nipples would be darker as well?

Nipples are just different haha. Your empiricism differs from that of other people.

Males and Females share an "X" chromosome from the mother and our bodies start out basically female until a few months after intial pregnancy for the mother. Nipples form before genitilia and so the nipples stay on both males and females. Females use them to nurse their young later because the female body is like a nursery, but for both males and females nipples play a role in sexual arousal. Even some animals have it where males and females have nipples. Goes by how the chromosomes are.

I've never heard of that... my nipples are pretty light. If you want some science, boys are female by default until they get a Y chromosome from dad, so we have nipples.

yeah and actually i heard in biology class that men actually have all the same breast tissue as women, they just dont develop because of the lack of estrogen, but given the right combination of hormones, dudes can even make milk!!

But yeah i am kinda glad we have nipples we would look weird without, and they give my gf something to play with too, plus they still feel good when they are stimulated, i mean when i get close to cumming they start sticking out...
but yeah i dont think our nipples so much get darker during puberty as they get bigger, like sometimes little kids dont really have much areola before puberty.

That is all genetics has nothing to do with puberty.

Picture your self without them. Its like why do we have eyebrows, well ever seen how ugly those without eyebrows pics look. Just my perspective, so we look the same or normal.

A foetus starts of as a female. This starts the foetus on developing female parts, notably nipples. After a few months, the SRY gene kicks in. This the changes the development of the foetus and prompts the development of male parts and it starts to develop a penis, testicles and other male characteristics (deeper voice when broken etc.).

As for why they change, I don't think they do. I think its a case of some have lighter nipples and others have darker ones.

I think it just happens to be the people that you are looking at just have dark nipples, it's just a coincidence
