On my hand, I got an electric shock just now from my hair straighteners and now half way up my arm is aching! Why is this?

Because the electric surge overwhelms your nerves, the cells keep firing at your brain. In other words, you know how if there's too much electricity in a circuit then the whole thing just goes awry? Well, same thing here. Your body runs on small amounts of electricity too and the surge has made your neurons start firing like crazy. It should go away. I doubt you need any medical assistance since you're able to type this and aren't complaining of any other symptoms, but you're the judge of that.

It IS a "mental crisis" because I WAS WORRIED I'D DIE.
Plus, English isn't my first language, so thankyou for that mate.
I'll be "Realgone" in a minute.

Yes, but it is also a medical concern. He moved it to this section so you would get better and more relevant replies from people who frequent this section and give good medical advice -- it was done in your best interest.

As for your question, what Mortal Coil said pretty much sums up my thoughts; however, if it doesn't go away then I would consider taking a trip to see your doctor.

If the pain persists for more than 2 weeks, go see a doctor. Mortal is right about the pain.
