How can you tell if someone is gay?

How can you tell if some one is gay. I wonder this because lately I have been having dreams about having a boyfriend and then when I have a dream like this I wake up happy and then go and face bullying at school and then I'm depressed. So this is why I really would like to know how you could tell if someone is gay, because I would like the experience.

Gay men is a hard one for me. Girls are slightly easier. But, you can't ever find a sure-fire sign. The best sign you could find is a rainbow anything, for guys at least this is a good sign. There are just things that may help your conclusion.

The only thing I recommend is bringing up homosexuality in a logical conversation and seeing how he reacts to it. At the very least, if he isn't opposed to it, asking him out even if he's straight won't be so traumatic. Bring something up like the recent election, all the states that legalized gay marriage. Talk about an imaginary friend who's gay, but don't make that so conspicuous. Just say you had a long-time friend who came out to you and you're dealing with the surprise.

High school is crap that way. If you're out, you get harassed, but if you're not out, it's difficult to find other people who are gay. I can't say I know what it's like to be a gay man, but I was out quite swiftly. I mean, I didn't tell everyone, but every time a conversation entered that territory, I wouldn't lie. Overall, that was the happiest time of my childhood. Even when there was a rumour a best friend and I were in a lesbian relationship.

Depends, I have met more 'straight acting' gay people in the last year than I have openly gay people. The majority of gay guys over here who are closeted are straight acting, and even act homophobic sometimes. It's a cover... :P

are you asking how you tell if you are gay or how you tell if someone else is gay? cuz this is how you can tell if someone else is gay: call him up and say, "hey let's go to the movies on Saturday. do you want to see Les Miserables or do you want to see that new Stallone movie?" If he says, "I can't go to the movies on Saturday cuz I have a date with my boyfriend" then he is gay.

It might be different for me since the culture of the LGBT community here is...unique.
But usually, the guys here that are gay usually are the ones that focus on fashion, love instagram, starbucks, and hanging out with ladies. They also have the stereotypical gay voice.

Well lately straight guys are the most gay acting people i know so it is kind of hard XD Every straight guy i know (Only kind of guy i know) All put on make up, Fake tan, Do their hair, Wear tight small clothing, Be flirty and do gay things with other friends but swear to god they are straight, So one thing you could look out for is what i did when i was not out, Whenever people would talk about porn, Masturbation, Just guy stuff, I always went quite and blushed so there is always that to look out for but honestly now, Telling if someone is gay or straight is oddly hard ha ha, Good luck on finding someone though :)
