View Full Version : why there's no sexuality threads?

Okay so I've been wondering this for long time.

There's a big thread for sexuality but it's all mixed up there's gay, lesbian, bi sexual etc. Which I don't really understand and makes me sometimes confused.

Then there's puberty for boys/girls and people ask am I gay if.....so on you know what I mean?

So why don't we just make a big thread like Gay sexuality for example and it contains all questions towards gays like sex, fashion, culture, views and such? Whatever you can think of. Then Gay and other sexuality people can reply there if they know about it more?

So this would go like Gay sexuality for boys only and then lesbian sexuality for girls only.

And possibly bi sexuality for both girls and boys.

The only sexuality thread could be for other sexualities and questions?

The puberty for boys would be clear from questions like is it gay to give blowjob for a boy and so on. I think this would make the forum much more simple?

Tho I've big feeling that not many is going to support this.

It may be useful for different sexually oriented people, yeah. Probably clear up a lot of clutter in the puberty section.

That's why I was thinking how is giving blowjobs to straight people related to puberty at all?

I think it would belong gay sexuality thread or something like that...

Thing is if you have masses of threads like that you're going to get confused and it's going to clutter the site. The sexuality thread at the moment gives the basics and allows people to question and hopefully clear up a couple of things they needed help with before they post. Then, if there are still questions they have the option of the Teen Sexuality forum. There are already places to post things like that: sex-p101, fashion=fashion, twpr for anything that doesn't fit. If there are too many threads and stickys everywhere people will just get confused and not bother looking through them.

People think that by posting everything in a couple of stickys it will clear up the forum but that's the point of VT, to help, reassure and give advice to people. They can still ask the same questions even if they've been answered in a sticky somewhere around the website. Allowing people to ask their own questions and have people answer them is more reassuring than reading it in a sticky that could have been written a couple of years ago. It's an interesting idea but really it would just take up space and it's not really needed.

It's a good idea in theory, but it really wouldn't be too useful.

For one, most of the time, people will overlook stickied threads. They just go on and make their own thread asking their question, and honestly, that's okay. We're a teen help forum, so even if a question is asked 50 times, as the original poster, it's always nice to get some personal closure and response to your question by making a thread yourself.
Also, stickies have a habit of getting cluttered and dysfunctional.

Still doesn't explain how giving blowjobs and so on is related to boys puberty...

It's (somewhat) related to puberty because at that time, guys are generally going through a "curious" phase in which they'll sometimes experiment with the same sex. This is generally caused by puberty and its effects, so it fits in the Puberty section.

[-]The sexuality section is for questions about sexuality that everyone can answer. Not for fashion or culture. Sometimes someone of a different gender can be even more helpful than someone of the same gender. Also, heterosexuality questions are (very rarely) posted in there. And what about people who don't identify as male or female? And the clutter-ness that ThePretender mentioned.
So, obviously, I'm against this.[/-]

I read this wrong. Sorry. I'm still against the idea though.

Like I said everyone can reply there? yeah well who said we couldn't make transgender thread and so on. But it seems that this won't happen anyway...?

The most heterosexuality questions are "am I gay if I watch gay porn" for example..

I read the original post wrong. I thought you meant to split the sexuality section completly.

No, keep the sexuality thread like it is make new threads like

gay sexuality

bi sexuality

lesbian sexuality

etc if more needed then ask all related questions to those. For example "is it gay to give bj" goes to gay sexuality. I don't see how that could be straight tho it could be bi sexuality but it's not cus it says "is it gay".

So all that kind of questions would be in separate threads. So when you go to boys puberty thread you won't find threads "is it gay to jerk off to gay porn"

or "is it gay to wear tight boxers" whatever get it?

Are you talking about stickies, or sub-forums like the mental illnesses forum has?

Lol yes there are very rarely straight questions on here. I'm against this...
And btw, putting fashion in the gay sexuality forum is sorta offensive to me (I'm gay) coz just coz were gay doesn't automatically mean were into fashion... I'm not.. And I know MANY gays that aren't

sub forums.

@For that gay fashion. I'm gay too and I don't think it's offensive at all. Some gays like to dress up all girly some don't. Some people even want to know what clothes to wear to look more gay so what's wrong with that? if you're not into fashion then not I don't see any problem with that?

Yeah. Now I do. I still don't find it necessary though.

Now I'm confused. Do you want threads or sub forums? You said threads in all your other posts.

Really the majority of the active users on this site are P101ers that probably don't even know the other parts of the site exist. Making sexuality threads in the sexuality forum for things like that won't get seen because only rarely do you get one of them that might venture out into the rest of VT, which is why those questions get asked in P101.

Stil there is already a fashion forum... But I see you point.
And also yes the puberty forum is the most active one. I'm one of the people that rarely look in the other ones lol

I don't see this necessary at all. Breaking it up into subforums will only clutter the forum.
