Alright heres the dealio. I will be 17 in march. And im dating my first boyfriend. this fantastic guy. Who is 25 years old. Its a bit of a social damper so our relationship has been on hush for the last month. For now we plan to keep it this way. But assuming everything works out and we stay together, when should I tell my parents/family/friends? Im especially worried about what my mother will think. Her son is gay first of all. And is now dating a man almost ten years older. Poor woman, lol.

I'm sure she appreciates you thinking of her but you have to be true to yourself. If you put everyone else first and you last you will be miserable. Find the happy medium by hinting at it and see what happens. If she seems to take it well then gently tell her.

Yaa. As much as I love her, My mom is over dramatic and a bit audacious. If she doesn't take it well, I can just see her finding his name and address and "marching right over there to give a piece of her mind."

Tell it when it becomes more serious. It's one thing when you're young to go onto FB and update your relationship status the minute it happens, but once you get older, you tend to wait and not really stamp it for people until you feel it's due time.
You're not required or responsible persay in updating everyone about whom you're dating at this point in your life.

When you feel it's go time, you go speak it over with your boyfriend and head on from there : D
