Average Long Distance Relationship Time

I was just wondering, What do you guys think is the average time for a long distance relationship?

Me and my bf (I met him here on vteen :) ) Have been in a LDR for over a year now. In order to keep the relationship going smoother, I've been trying to visit him every 3 or 4 months. Last year, i saw him about 3 times. I'm planning on visiting him in about 3 weeks (Can't wait!!) But I was just wondering with that question. What do you guys think?

Its a tough thing to do. I dated my last girlfriend long distance. Relationships are based on mutual experiences and interactions. They are limited over the phone or computer. It can work if you are diligent.

It honestly depends how committed the couple is! It can go for a couple months to maybe a year or two, but I wouldn't expect like 4 or 5 years due to the major commitment an online relationship is and that you guys can't go see each other that often!
