So today I went to my first wrestling meet ever. My new chem lab partner this semester is a wrestler and he's pretty much the first wrestler I've ever really talked to for any amount of time. At our school at least the wrestlers and football jocks tend to hang out among themselves and kinda ignore the rest of us. So anyway he is turning out to be a pretty cool guy and they had a big meet today so I thought I would check it out. I don't know anything about wrestling really but it looked to me like a lot of guys were actually grabbing their opponents junk, which seems to me like it would hurt a lot! Just wondering if they really are doing that and if so is that really legal? I don't really want to ask my lab partner because I don't want to get punched in the face if he's insulted.

why would that insult him? if you don't want to say Did you grab that guy's junk turn it around and say It looked like that guy grabbed your junk! Is that a legal move? In my PE class we don't grab anyone's junk but we reach around their legs to try to pin them or pull them down. if someone grabbed my dick it would turn from wrestling to boxing because I would punch them unless i was 100% sure it was an accident. i don't go for that.

Grabbing junk is normally unintentionally. Some guys are just being desperate to win so they grab and squeeze.

LOL thats for sure. That was done to a freind of mine and he got loose by grabbing the dudes forearm with one hand and squeezing until he broke the guys forearm.

They probably aren't grabbing the other's junk, probably only looks like it, and its not legal in terms of wrestling. Wrestling is not a "gay" as many people jest.

I was talking to a freind of mines father who teaches Ju jitsu, and he said there was none of this grappling and wrestling arts are gay attitudes until the 21 first century.

I think it's a back lash reaction to the fact gays are a bit more accepted now,and thats the way for homophobic idiots to vent..

ok, this is coming from a wrestler. you aren't allowed to grab your opponents junk, it is a technical foul and you get detected a point and your opponent gets one. they were most likely going for high crotches. in this move, you throw your arm just to the side of your opponents junk, and you lock your arms together around a leg. if you look at that move from a certain angle, it looks like they are grabbing their junk. i am guessing they were doing that move. if you have a video of it, send me a Private message and i will tell you what happened.

Thanks for the explanation - that makes sense.
