visitor messages

this might have always been there but i noticed today when i was leaving a visitor message that it said the message was moderated. are all visitor messages moderated and i just never noticed it before or am i suddenly on message probation or something?

Until you hit 250 posts and having been here 3 months that message will always show up. It basically means that a moderator has to read it before it is posted publicly.

All members that have 250 posts and/or have been here for less than three months are on Visitor Message moderation.

What has been said above is correct. We have to approve those messages before anyone else can see them. This is done to remove spammers from the site, but generally, it's to find cammers and people who are here for the wrong reasons.

ok that makes sense. if it was always there i don't care i was just afraid it was something new cuz i did something wrong.

thats weird.. sometimes this happens to my profile as well when i send visitor messages and i have been here for 4 years and have a post count of almost 3000

That's weird... Are you sure that your messages get marked as awaiting moderation? Because I haven't seen any of yours awaiting moderation before.

its happened on occasion... where it has said the moderation message above... i didnt know why it was doing it..
