You say you hate my sad eyes.
But you rarely see the pain that they hide.
I’m tired of living and scared of dying.
You don’t know it, but I’m done trying.
To you I look like a girl with a smile
The truth is that it’s been fake for a while.
You don’t know how bad I feel
I have scars that may never heal
I hide everything really well
I secretly wish you could see my hell.
You like to make fun and sabotage
You don’t see, but my pain is camouflaged.
You’ll never know until it becomes your life
The sadness, pain, razor, and knife.
Don’t judge a book by its cover.
Because there’s so much you haven’t yet discovered.
But you rarely see the pain that they hide.
I’m tired of living and scared of dying.
You don’t know it, but I’m done trying.
To you I look like a girl with a smile
The truth is that it’s been fake for a while.
