Peanut Butter Cookies

Well, I just made some peanut butter cookies (from scratch of course). Now I'm wondering... in my family we always criss cross the tops... Does anyone else do this? Or Does anyone else know why it is done?

lol my mom and me make cookies all the time! The crisscross helps the top of the cookie cook not to soft or not too hard

Am I the only one here who never criss-crosses the cookies?
Part of it is that the humidity means they won't do it physically, so maybe it will work in a different climate.

I don't no about the criss cross but I think it how everone make them ! I can't make them but I eat them an like them warm out of the oven yummy .

I've only ever criss crossed peanut butter cookies, but its when you flatten the cookie by pressing a fork across the top to for a pattern like this
