So i have my finals today, tomorrow, and friday(to classes per day), but my question is, do we have to take finals? why can't we just take one huge test in 11th grade or something(going over academic subjects(math, science, english) and then have the other years free of huge finals and have 12th grade to apply for schools, and not spend it on some class final?

Well, each teacher fits the final to their class and what they've taught. To make a valid test, all of your teachers would have to collaborate on making the test, as it would most likely go to different levels of math and science because not everybody is taking all the same classes. Besides, finals aren't that bad at all.

Finals are just a way of knowing did you understand and take everything you learned from the semester! They also want to know as a class what they need to kinda go over. No one wants to take them, I know I hate them, but they are what they are!

Exactly. It's proof that you learned what you needed to that year. It measures your progress!

Yeah, as the other says, it's to test your knowledge of what you learned over the year. It's important and usually it's a big part of your grades

Finals are not that bad if you study enough

12th grade for me mostly consisted of filling out applications for schools as scholarships, starting college courses early, and then a few blowoff classes. I think it just depends on your schedule.
