The other day I was talking to my supposed friend and she told me that I'll probably end up a cat lady. It really hurt and lately I've started to believe that I'll end up like that. I just turned 18 and I've only had 1 boyfriend but we werent together long ( 3 weeks). Its not that I dont want a boyfriend its just that guys dont approach me often and I dont know how to talk to them. I feel like there is something wrong with me... I've been told I'm intimidating but i dont know why. Im a little bit shy when Im not with friends but I'm a completely different after I talk to someone. How can I make this irrational fear go away??

idk what a Cat lady is. is that like the Wolf man? anyway do the people that tell you your intimidating tell you the ways you are intimidating? ask them for specific examples so you will know what you can work on to improve your social skills with guys.
and seriously what is a Cat Lady? I'm not trying to be a smart ass

I'm practically a younger, male version of you. Though I have had a lot more relationships, though few have lasted longer than a week... If what your friend said hurt you, than you should point that out, and tell them you didn't like the fact that they said that. I'm being told constantly that I'm going to be alone because of how "creepy" I am, or how "strange" I am, but the truth is I'm just unique, just like you. Everyone is unique in their own way, but some people don't accept other people for what makes them unique. Those are the kinds of people that cause the most damage in our lives, and should be avoided as much as possible. I haven't given up faith that I'll find the perfect girl for me, and I've only been used in my relationships. Plus, you're only eighteen. You've still got your whole life ahead of you, as I do as well. As for talking to guys, it all depends on who the guy is. Some guys like a very straightforward approach, and others like a more subtle, laid back approach. Just do what you feel is right when it comes to talking to guys. Sure it won't be easy at first, but as you get more and more used to it, you'll find yourself being a lot better at it. There's nothing wrong with you, and you don't have an irrational fear. There are many others in the same boat as you. I'm always open for conversation if you need someone to talk to. :)

Hope is all i can say :)
I am soon to be 17 and never dated before (Once but i do not count it) And furthest i have gone with someone was having them grind on me and then feeling dirty and gross after XD But i like i can tell you have is a HUGE heart that is full of romance and passion and just wanting to give it to someone, So other than the usual get out there and find someone and show them all your sides, Just hope and hope that guy is out there somewhere! Some times you will give up on that hope like i do, But just cling on to it, Someone is out there, And as for the crazy cat lady thing, Cats are cute and fluffy and crazy is different, Fun and awesome so be proud of that insult ;)

If you'd like there are online dating sites and mixers to look into for when you're in the future, say 30 or so, and decide you want to find someone if you haven't already.
18 is a terrible time to try and decide what your life will be like exactly from the day you think of it. You've got plenty of time to become a girlfriend or a wife, let alone settle down.
