i am addicted to painkillers... especially in the past few weeks since my tooth has been acting up.... i have been waking up 2-3 times in the night and when i wake up i take 2 tylenols and go back to bed... and during the day i will take up to 9 tylenols if i am able to... i have terible sensitivity to pain.. any bit of pain i feel i take painkillers. and i think now i have screwed up my period.. i had it for like a day and now it has stopped and i have had no cramps probably because of the amount of pain ingredients there are in body..

i dont want to become an addict.. what should i do.. how do I stop?

Well, you had your root canal today or yesterday, right? You shouldn't have any pain after like a day, so stop taking them then. If you can't stop, well, there's your answer. But that kind of tooth ache can be pretty terrible at times, it's understandable to be taking a lot of pain killers right now. Just make sure you stop as soon as your tooth is fine. So, make sure you give the medicine time to wear off before popping some more. Wait for it to start hurting again before you take it.

As for you period, it could be anything really. Maybe it was the stress of having the root canal, I know you were pretty nervous.

Yes, the pain will be gone once you get the root canal. There's gonna be some soreness, but it'll be nothing compared to how it feels now. They get rid of all the nerves in that tooth so you won't feel it anymore.

Your period is probably just messing up from the stress. Is this about the time your cycle was supposed to be starting?

Ah, well that could be why. Have you talked to a doctor about it not regulating since you had that put in? I'm not sure how they work or how long it takes for you get.. sorted out, but I'd assume that's why it's late and the stress is why it's just spotting. Believe it or not, that can have a big effect on your period.

i never thought of it like that
thanks im gonna try and find a doctor to get the surgury
and the IUD basically makes your period stop.... and it can take up to 3 years after getting it out to regulate.... well i only had it in for a month as i couldnt stand the pain.

You don't get addicted to tylenols. You have tricked yourself into thinking you are.

Stop taking them and there will be little to no side effects.

Acetaminophen the main ingredient in Tylenol does nothing in terms of addiction nor does it get you high like other painkillers.

It honestly isn't really even a painkiller, it is just over the counter store bought pills lol.

You are fine.
