Like Anthony said, stuff like that happens for no reason. Maybe you had done it too much in that day to where you didn't have any left? Semen reproduces everyday. You're fine, and you shouldn't worry about it.

It could have been a retrograde ejaculation. Did you feel anything weird or painful?

If you've just recently started ejaculating, you still might sporadically NOT ejaculate. And as CTW said, you can "run out" of semen, but ONLY temporarily. Basically, the more times you masturbate in a day, the less semen you'll ejaculate. If you masturbate enough times (even three or four is enough) you might not ejaculate any semen at all, and basically have a "dry orgasm" as you described.

I agree with the others... you may have done it too much. If you find that masturbating is starting to cause you pain though, you should get a doctor to check it out immediately, and do not be afraid because you can request for a parent to leave the room.

I believe that's what's called a "dry orgasm". It happens to guys sometimes, you don't have anything to worry about.
