Just tell him that it happens when he gets really happy and leave it at that. You don't want to have a puberty talk with a 6 year old. I would tell him all guys get a boner, and chances are he will be fine. He just wants to know he is normal. Don't go into detail and just say that all guys get them.

Now he wants to see it

tell him to ask his dad. i wouldn't take him to the bathroom for any private lessons or anything. what if he tells his parents later, "Cousin Bryant told me all about boners and I had a boner". they might get the wrong idea. or you could just tell his dad or you dad, "Cuz is asking me about boners. what should i say?"

be honest with him and just tell him it is a normal thing that all guys go through ....and like above tell him as he gets older he'll understand more......DO NOT at age 6 do anything with him.....don't know if he has a dad in the picture or you are his closest male relative, but talk to someone like his mom and let her know that he asked you so they know that he is wondering about what is happening to him .....just be honest his mom and dad knows it is gonna happen

At that age, best to tell him, "go ask your parents", Don't be afraid to tell his folks if he keeps bugging you about it...you don't want to be labeled a pedophile!!

This thread has definitely run its course. It's not even related to sexual education for the most part, and I think you've got a solid answer. :locked:
