Okay so I've always been known as the nice guy to girls. I never hurt anyone on purpose, and never ever wanted to in anyway. I've never really had much anger problems till like a month ago. It's almost like I flipped a switch. I've had a short temper, frustrations turn into pure anger, and I've began to just hate a lot of things for no reason at all. I've always been told that throughout puberty you have mood swings, but does anyone else have it this bad. Do you have any suggestions on how to control it? I really need to stop my self from this, I'm turning into a douche bag honestly. Me and my girlfriend decided just to be friends till I can control everything, I feel like im slipping away and I cant do anything about it. please help me, yesterday I cried for 4 hours because I messed up the only good thing in my life at this point.

I've never had this problem, since I've always been a pretty patient person. But maybe it'll help to recognize when you start to feel yourself slipping, and remind yourself that you don't want to be that person. Remind yourself what's most important to you, and that you don't ever want to mess those things up. A pretty close friend of mine has anger issues, and he's gotten better, but it's still something he deals with. When you get angry, be sure not to make any decisions. You don't think straight when you're angry, and you don't wanna do something you'll end up regretting later. If you need to go somewhere alone for a while, to get some fresh air and clear your head, do it. Then come back and deal with whatever what frustrating you.
Sometimes it helps people to vent and just let their anger out. Whatever kind of creative outlet you can find, try it. Write a song, play an instrument, draw, play a video game, exercise, poetry, even just talking it out with someone. Anything that helps you get the anger out. Don't hold on to anger. It's like holding a hot coal with the intention of throwing it at someone else, or drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.
You can always message me on here or anywhere else (my contact info is on my page) if you need someone to talk to. I'm a pretty decent listener.

Puberty 101 (boys) Mental Crisis. Hey, I moved it because you'll get so much better answers here about what's happening! Yes it does deal with puberty too, but your thread would have just been passed by, so I wanted to make sure you get help and moved it into a better forum!

I noticed a switch very very similar to this. Are you sure nothing has happened though? My switch occured in reaction to a traumatic time in my life that resulted in a suicide attempt.
But like you, it was so sudden and just like a change overnight, well over a few weeks after I got out of hospital. That was a year ago and i'm still like it.
It's pretty traumatic I know and I don't really have any advice how to stop it, i've not managed to stop it, but I know how you feel and you're not alone. It almost seems more traumatic because you know you weren't like it at one point, and because if you're anything like me, you know when you're doing it but you just seem to feel way too much to be able to stop it.
Good luck.

I haven't had anything really traumatic go on, on the contrary actually. Last semester I did really bad on my grades and now I'm doing very well and life is pretty good. It's almost like my mind switched from my previously optimistic outlook to the mind of a pessimist.

The problem is these days ,if a person has a hot temper it's automatically..OMG!! He must have something wrong with him to get mad so fast.
If a person has a quick temper that does not mean they have mental issues no matter what the head shrinks, you're friends or teachers might say.
But then in Over medicated Ameirca, the head shrinks are just looking for a reason to dole out the meds to ya.
heck quick tempers run in my family does that mean we are looney no,just that we have quick tempers
