In china there are some strikes occuring after a politician censored a newspaper article, do you think it is ok for china to still censor information? China even censors its history and online pages. Any personal stories are welcome, share what you think of this.
A newspaper article about the strikes:

Of course it isn't okay.
I love China, but it needs to remove the censorship.
For example, if you look up the Tiananmen Square incident years ago, you won't get it (in China I mean). You'll just get the square with people, regular pics, no signs of violence or whatever.

I don't really see how anyone could think it is okay. Censoring information and restricting speech doesn't work. It leads to a totalitarian government and angry citizens.

Censorship is wrong, in this case.
Im not saying the language censorship, but the information censorship.

Censoring information is never okay. People have a right to see all the sides of an issue, not only the one that their government supports.

So you wont cry if another uncensored Budd Dwyer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R._Budd_Dwyer) incident happens again.
If you want to get rid of censorship, you need to get rid of that annoying beep in the middle of tv shows

Censor language and images for the obvious reasons, but don't censor information or opinions,
Btw and personal expirences with censorship, even in general?

censorship is wrong. but nobody can do anything about it, as the chinese government wants to construct a "harmonious society", and they believe that the only way of achieving that society is by controlling public opinion. i've had to live under that censorship, and i just got used to it(and now i use a vpn).

I don't agree with it, but there's not much I can do with that opinion. Really anyone as far as I know.
They're both keeping their people from the rest of the world and their own history. It's a sad thing.

What do you expect from a post-Cold War Communist nation?
I think that all forms of sensors hip is wrong because just because one person wants it censored. shouldn't make it censored for everyone. For example, I don't care if the occasional f-bomb is dropped on tv or radio, nor do I care if there is occasional nudity on tv.
