Help Please. I went too deep

sorry for errors, I'm on my kindle fire. so where I live it is four am. I was reading a book an trying to stay calm. I wasn't planning on cutting. sometime if I keep a razor in my Han I'll feel better. so I move to get comfortable and I nicked myself really badly. I've never lost so much blood before. it was everywhere. it took a while to stop bleeding. I noticed there was swollen vein. don't think I hit it, but I think I might need stitches. I'm afraid to tell m mom.

If it's as bad as you're saying it is, you need to get urgent medical attention or at least try and close the wound yourself with butterfly strips. Either way, you need to play close attention to the wound and if it doesn't heal, get professional help.

even if you dont think its serious it really could be
i know your afraid of your mom finding out your secret of cutting but its better she know so she can help you.. you just get immediate medical attention. you may have just knicked your vein but thats not good either way... please tell you mom and go to the hospital asap!!!!

If it is as bad as you describe, seek medical assistance! Clean it as best you can, don't be scared to tell your mother she will want to help you

It's on your hand, so regardless of how much blood you've lost or how deep it is, there's an incredibly high risk of infection. Go get it looked at.

My mom knows that I cut. I just think this would break her and I don't want to be responsible for any more pain.

I think I might be okay. My whole arm aches but I can deal with that.

I've had things like this, like a few days ago I had just put my razor in my pocket and when I reached for my hair tie I cut my finger open. it bled a lot but try getting it wet with hot water and then dry it with toilet paper and hold it there. Sound stupid and cheap but the toilet paper will dry out the cut and stop the bleeding. If your afraid it will break open just put a band-aid on.

Don't be afraid of telling someone, just make up an excuse like I was using a box cutter and it went back in to my hand or something

I didn't tell her. I've been doing it for almost five years so I learned how to take care of this myself. If it does get bad, I'll tell her. I'll just lie though. As of now if I bump it, it bleeds a little bit. My arm aches but that's probably part of my auto immune disorder.
