Stuck in an issue ..... sorta long story but bear with me please =]

I like this girl. she's really hot, nice, has a strong positive attitude, i love being around her :wub:. I am cute but i have a couple of features that girls might not like like a bit of a moustache showings, a bit of acne, etc. last year we were really close we went to the park, talked, laughed etc. But one day a friend spilled the beans about me liking her and one day she said " i heard you like someone" and i said " who ?" and she said in a small voice " me..." i ignored it. After that we hadn't talked for months, but once in awhile she sat super close next to me with friends ( 2012 was the best year for me i was with the popular crowd, we fooled around, ( and by fooling around i mean playing pranks and getting pulled out of class) etc.) Now comes a new year i haven't talked to people in awhile sort of depressed, out of the popular crowd. My qeustion is.... how do i get back out there and get her attention and start dating her and maybe go back to hanging around with the popular crowd?

I would recommend starting a conversation, rebuild that friendship and things will probably happen naturally, just be honest and caring and if you hang with her you will probably intergrate automatically if that makes sense, it seems so easy written down but, if you make the effort it could be quite rewarding.
