This afternoon I was mountain-biking and slid into a little pond accidently. I got all wet and awfully cold. Back home I went to the bathroom and got undressed for a hot shower. At that I noticed my scrotum to be shriveled and tight to my body. I could only feel my left testicle within my scrotum. The right one I noticed to be inside my groin. Slightly in panic I tried to push it back. But when it slipped back into the scrotum I felt a shooting pain up to my stomach. For shaking with cold I decided to hop under the hot shower first. After a short while my scrotum became loose again and my right testicle went back in it. All relieved I palpated both of them to check if everything is right again. Still now the right one feels more sensitive and my groin and abdomen still feels like I had gotten a kick into my balls, though.
I remember when I was little my right testicle was retractile. I got hormone medication and everything was fine after that. My concerns are now:
-Did I damage something forcing the testicle back in place. Like pull off cords or something.
-Will it be retractile again from now on. I heard untreated it caused testicle cancer or infertility.
-Should I tell my parents and see a doctor about it or will it just go away?

I would definitely talk to your parents and doctor about it. You don't want to neglect anything that goes on in that area because the organs are very sensitive and can be damaged rather easily. If you wait too long and something is actually wrong then you may regret waiting on it. I'm not a doctor and I can't diagnose what happened; but I wouldn't get too worked up over it, just take the extra precaution to be safe.

Thanks ImCoolBeans
I just talked to my Dad. We will go to our family doctor tomorrow after school. He also said there was not too much to worry about - I’ll be fine. I should not have forced it back into the scrotum though. But let it go back on its own.
Has this happen to anybody before who can tell their own experience?

The same thing has happened with me, when I'm cold and it makes me feel a bit sick. It's usually pretty normal for it to ascend for a while in the cold as it doesn't want all your sperm to die

My boyfriends testicles shrivel up when he's cold
That happened the other day one got stuck and we forced it back down and he felt some slight pain but now he's fine :)

My scrotum has tightened and my right testicle has slid up but due to me accidently bumping it. It went back down by me standing. And my balls do not retract unless hit. I'd check with a doctor.

I just came from my doctor’s office. Everything ok so far. A teenager’s testicle should not be able to go back into the groin that far in general. Thus he gave me a referral to an urologist to have an ultrasonic examination done - just to be on the safe side.
