For me, listening to music, or drinking ( not promoting/endorsing it ), or coming on VT helps with my depression. It also helps to talk to somebody you can trust, about your problems.

This isn't really a good way to deal with it, but I'm self destructive, so it helps me.

I force myself to cry.

I always liked to cut things, if I have a nice knife, usually not myself... well sometimes a little nick here and there.

I write down how I'm going to kill myself. Then I burn it.

Eat a lot of food.

Other self destruction.

Talk to myself, tell myself that I'm a bad person, I'm ugly, nobody likes me, etc...

Try to stay up as late as possible in order to prolong the pain.

Here's the catch: after i wake up the next day, I'm no longer depressed. It works... temporarily. I need a more permanent solution...

I take out some paper and write what's making me feel bad and then I write what I'm thankful for.

Music, reading, art, religion, collecting, anything you like. Put your heart and mind into something 100 percent and you will find happiness in it.

Listen to music.
Cry.
Talk to my boyfriend.
Sometimes throw things. Mostly empty water bottles and pens.
Draw.
Eat a lot. Or depending on what I'm depressed about, not eat. Neither of which I recommend.
Think about something that never fails to bring a smile to my face.

[A lot of self-damaging behaviors that I won't promote at all.]
Also yoga helps. And meditation. If you hop on the elliptical or cross-trainer, listen to some ambient music, close your eyes and try to meditate while working out I find it to work pretty well.

I wish I could say more, but I don't want people to think that I promote the horrible things that I am compelled to do.

When I go to my athletics and I can do sprinting and talk to my friends there, it really helps and since I've got active more, for the past 2 years my life has significantly improved

Self destructive methods and music are the only two I can think of at the moment.
